Yesterday I had the Orthodontist visit where I got my braces fixed. What suppose to be a 30 min visit came to be a 2 hour visit- good thing I had my book. They somehow scheduled me for a surgical record day, but didn't schedule me in to get my braces fixed. Tthere was much confusion, needless to say.
Today was typical nothing special except for a purchase of a keyboard and mouse, I probably need to wash my car. My teeth feel different from the fix yesterday, definitely shifted but also tighter, it's really to hard to eat my food today - I'm trying to be careful not to break them... I think tomorrow is a good day for the beach:-)
Yesterday's Food:
- (Chipotle) Chicken Burrito w/Rice, Black beans, chicken, cheese, sour cream
- (Chipotle) Chicken Salad w/ Rice, Black beans, chicken, cheese, sour cream
- Spaghetti w/ Prego Sauce, ground beef
Today's Food:
- Sirloin Cheeseburger (Jack in the Box)
- Ultimate Cheeseburger (Jack in the Box)
- Steak w/ Rice, Mash Potato w/Brown gravy, corn, and salad w/ Balsamic dressing

The Beginning
After four years of late nights and good times, I’ve finally graduated. My overall feeling – meh. It’s due partially to the fact that the “good” feelings have yet to soak in – I’ve only been back for a week. The other half has to do with me really not being done with school. If anything I still got 5-6 years of school left.
So the big question is “WHAT AM I DOING THIS SUMMER?” Good question! Well, the next big thing in my life before graduate school would be Orthognathic Surgery…aka… Jaw Surgery. In short, my maxilla and mandible will be broken and put back into the correct place. When all is said in done, I should eat and sleep better, but from all of the youtube videos showing the surgery, it seems like a painful recovery process.
Today marked the beginning of everything for the summer. Today I went to get some test done, specifically CBC (blood count), urine analysis, and vitamin D test (just to make sure I have enough to recover after the surgery). It was somewhat of a unique day, I learned that the reason why I’ve been breathing through my mouth all of these years was due to nasal polyps in my nasal cavity. Apparently I’m allergic to something, and it caused swelling. The doctor said the reason I don’t know about it was because I’ve been use to living with it ever since I was a little kid…cool. Anyhow, the good doctor prescribed some nasal spray, and two sprays in each nostrils per day has already made me a better man.
Tomorrow is going to be a long day, a full day with my Orthodontist to get my brackets fix and to get models and x-rays for surgical records…wicked!
